Brinker Veterinary Hospital is available during our regular opening hours to see pet emergencies and urgent medical issues. We do ask that you call our animal hospital first at (248) 693-1677. This allows our team to triage your pet’s situation and advise you on the best next steps, and gives us time to prepare for your arrival if we recommend bringing your pet in.

What is a Pet Emergency?
If you sense that something is wrong with your pet, give us a call at (248) 693-1677 if we’re open, and we’ll do our best to help. We can assist with a variety of pet emergencies, including:
- Vomiting and diarrhea
- Seizures
- Trauma (e.g., from accidents or fights)
- Difficulty breathing
- Poisoning or ingestion of toxic substances
- Allergic reactions
- Urinary blockages
- Heatstroke
- Severe pain or extreme anxiety
- Collapse or sudden weakness
- Uncontrolled bleeding
- Swollen abdomen or signs of bloat

- Burns or frostbite
